Images speak a thousand words! And our goal is to bring powerful moving images into classrooms. Content that educates and inspires; enables introspection and that engages in thought provoking discussions.

Be Kind Movement promotes the development of emotional intelligence skills in children and young people through the medium of film and through acts of kindness. Our experiential workshops involve watching short film content, engaging in meaningful discussions, creative role-playing, creative games and activities.
We select short films and animation for our Kindness in School Programme (KISP) carefully and our curation is based on films that meet the following criteria:
Have a socially impactful and positive message;
Touch on topical and relevant themes such as bullying, friendship, racism and others;
Suitable viewing for children;
No nudity or profanity;
Screening time: max 15 minutes;

Generally, a short film tends to be a calling card for the filmmaker and once its festival run is completed, often there is limited scope for the distribution of short films. With KISP, there is an opportunity for your film to be showcased to a large number of primary and secondary school children and young people, alongside staff within these educational establishments. We will also acknowledge your film via our respective social media channels and display the film’s poster and logline on our website. We hope the above combined with a desire to positively influence and impact our young generation are good reasons to want to submit your film to us for consideration.
Our kindness workshops are funded by government grants and private funding which in Covid-19 times is especially hard to secure. We are therefore unable to guarantee remuneration however we will endeavour, wherever possible, to provide a small fee when we showcase your film in our Kindness workshops.
