Kindness starts here.
At Be Kind Movement, we believe kindness is more than a value - it is a skill that can transform lives, relationships and communities.

Kindness
Kindness is more than just being nice — it’s a conscious, everyday practice of empathy, respect, and compassion.
Through our Kindness in School Programme™, we bring kindness to life using short films and interactive workshops that inspire students to see kindness as a strength and a skill. By exploring real-world scenarios and relatable stories, children understand how their words and actions affect those around them — and why kindness matters in every part of life.
Emotional Intelligence
We see emotional intelligence (EQ) as a superpower for life.
The heart of our programme lies in teaching children how to understand and manage their emotions, build healthy relationships, and make compassionate decisions. The 10 Values of Kindness — from gratitude and generosity to patience and inclusion — are woven into every session. These values help young people grow into emotionally intelligent, kind-hearted adults who can face life’s challenges with strength and empathy.
Empowerment
We believe in giving young people the tools to thrive.
Our programme empowers students with practical emotional skills — from managing their emotions and setting boundaries to standing up for others and making responsible choices. Every workshop is designed to help children feel seen, heard, and capable of shaping their emotional journeys. By developing confidence and self-awareness, they’re better equipped to navigate challenges in and out of school.
Inclusivity
Kindness has no limits — and neither should our classrooms.
Our content is designed to be accessible, inclusive, and culturally sensitive. We work with schools of all types, adapting sessions to different age groups, needs, and learning environments. Every child deserves to feel a sense of belonging, and our workshops foster peer respect, active listening, and appreciation for differences — so no one feels left behind.
Integrity
Our commitment to children is built on trust and responsibility.
We create safe, respectful spaces where students can explore big ideas like fairness, honesty, and courage without judgment. Our facilitators are trained to handle sensitive conversations with care, and we hold ourselves to the highest standards in child safeguarding, curriculum alignment, and impact evaluation.

Mission
Our mission is to educate the hearts and minds of children by developing emotional intelligence through kindness, empowering them to navigate life’s challenges and make a positive impact on their peers, families, and communities.
Vision
Our vision is a world where every child grows up with the emotional intelligence to lead with kindness, supported through creative, film-based learning that inspires empathy, connection, and positive action.
Why It Matters
With rising concerns around youth mental health, cyberbullying, and social isolation, children need more than academic support — they need emotional tools for life.
At Be Kind Movement, our Kindness in School Programme™ is built on the 3Es Framework:
🎬 Entertain through the power of short films
📚 Educate on the value and impact of kindness
💪 Empower with emotional intelligence (EQ) skills
By nurturing empathy, inclusion, and self-awareness early on, we help children:
Navigate peer pressure and online interactions
Build healthy, respectful relationships
Manage emotions with confidence
Grow into compassionate changemakers — in school, at home, and in the world around them
Kindness isn’t just a value. It’s a life skill — and it starts here.

Our Story
Founded in 2015, Be Kind Movement began with a simple yet powerful idea: what if kindness could be taught, just like maths or reading? Inspired by personal experiences of bullying and a deep desire to change school culture, our founder Premila, set out to create something lasting.
What started as a short film has grown into a nationwide initiative, empowering children through the values of kindness and emotional intelligence. Today, our work continues to spark empathy, inclusion, and courage in classrooms across the UK. Learn more.
