Hope
A simple four letter word, with the deepest element of faith.
Reinforcing humanity in its truest sense
A simple four letter word, with the deepest element of faith.
Reinforcing humanity in its truest sense.
In the form of a friendly spider, our very own Itsy.
Holding Alison' s hand out of loneliness, but without any sympathy.
Sympathising does no good, being empathetic gives strength.
The power to heal and helps one refrain.
With a new perspective and the promise to live,
Alison moved on, away from her fears and grief.
The loveable Itsy, taught Alison the pearls of kindness.
She learnt to smile, share and empathise.
The web of life is nothing less than this.
Teaching us to fight it out, as a survivor is.
We never know what's going on in a person's life.
A little bit of patience,
An act of kindness can change a mind.
Be the ray of hope, a guide or a friend,
Like our cute little Itsy, whose kindness never ends.

Interview with Filmmaker Premila Puri (ITSY)
Premila Puri: When my husband narrated his experience with a spider in his car, I was really moved by his simple act of kindness towards a tiny spider. It made me realise that If we can be kind and compassionate to animals, with whom we have little in common, then why is it so hard to be kind to each other and make this a world a better place
Matthew Toffolo: What motivated you to make this film?
Premila Puri: When my husband narrated his experience with a spider in his car, I was really moved by his simple act of kindness towards a tiny spider. It made me realise that If we can be kind and compassionate to animals, with whom we have little in common, then why is it so hard to be kind to each other and make this a world a better place. This was the inspiration behind getting my charity to commission ITSY which my production company produced pro-bono. Click here to read more…

Brien's Raising funds for Disadvantaged Young People
There is nothing more pleasing than giving back and when the cause is right I'm sure you all agree with me.
This is a way to help those less fortunate than me, probably less fortunate than you have a head start or even get the start they need in life. I was lucky, I had parents who could afford to help me with that step. It's now time for us all to step up, if we can.
So, if you can help me out and the cause, I'd appreciate it. I would normally be dong some type of run and do plan to one at some stage, but probably not before the closing date of this campaign in May. Watch this space though. So I'd appreciate your support on this one.
Dia's Kindness
There's one life but many things we want to do... if we start by just caring we can make a difference...
When my dear premila told me about her dream of spreading kindness through different ways i was taken aback, thinking 'wow people still care'...
And i want to support her in small ways i can...and it started at home when my 3yr old gave me a £1 for her Aunty P! Tiny drops of water make the mighty ocean...
I request all of you my friends to support this cause by donating for this...
Urvi's Kindness
I'm raising awareness for the Be Kind movement's short film on Kindness called 'Itsy'
For me, kindness can be anything from small acts such as smiling to a passerby just because (yes, I have occasionally been looked at weirdly for this!) to giving someone a little bit of change so they can pay for a parking ticket if they don't have enough money. If we all made an effort to partake in these small acts of kindness on a daily basis, I truly believe the environment we live and work in would be a better place where collectively we can build on values that allow us to tackle bigger issues such as ignorance and prejudice that stop us making bigger acts of kindness by showing compassion and understanding to those around us!

I am raising the fund for Be kind movement charity organisation in memory of my father-in law. He was very kind and always very supportive and helping to everyone who was in need.
I am raising the fund for Be kind movement charity organisation in memory of my father-in law. He was very kind and always very supportive and helping to everyone who was in need.
Am trying to follow his path. I chose to support this organisation because this organisation is helping many girls, women and now by making a short film, they are helping so many young people to learn small small techniques(production, direction, cinematography) that would be useful in their future in the world of cinema. An Act of Kindness
Reflecting upon a world,
On a journey ,
to understand and confront
a distorted reality.
Governed by a lack of trust scattered amongst us.
Reflecting upon a world,
On a journey ,
to understand and confront
a distorted reality.
Governed by a lack of trust scattered amongst us.
Exploring nature and its complexities,
As I linger on the concrete pavements and admire its authenticity.
Reflecting upon human nature, recognising that lack of love is what truly separates us.
An action so pure and desperately needed to unify and connect complete strangers.
Acts of kindness, that give me hope and leave me astonished,
Leaving me amazed at the genuine help others will give when there is no guarantee of being rewarded.
As I gather my thoughts and reflect upon my journey,
I notice a spider. As I scream, examine it and wonder,
Confused on what my next course of action should be, overwhelmed with mixed feelings.
I stop and ponder.
I begin to analyse the beauty in its movement, its detail and texture,
an enchanting elegant creature.
A wonderful creation by nature.
As I look closer and examine what binds us.
I realise there is so much more that brings us together than divides us.
An act of kindness,
is what brought us together,
a bond I plan on keeping forever.

Kindness and BBCs The Apprentice
I was thinking about what it means to be kind - specifically in the workplace. Is there place for kindness in the office or is it better to be shrewd in business?
I was thinking about what it means to be kind - specifically in the workplace. Is there place for kindness in the office or is it better to be shrewd in business?
I took to the Oxford dictionary in order to answer this question with the definition listed as 'The quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate.' Now if you think about BBCs The Apprentice, as an example of how 'go-getters go about business', do you think 'kindness' is a quality most of the candidates and Lord Sugar share?
I took to looking up antonyms for kindness in order to make sure I'm answering this question in a fair and just way. Antonyms included selfishness, intolerance, meanness and mercilessness amongst others.
So which did BBCs The Apprentice depict more? Did you see more tolerance, generosity and consideration or rather selfishness, intolerance and meanness? Click here to read more
ITSY - a short film on Kindness
Our uplifting and award-winning short film ‘Itsy’ reinforces the power of Kindness to create a positive change within ourselves and within our local communities, a quality we need more than ever in today’s turbulent and emotionally challenging world. The short film is a reflection of multi-cultural Britain and diversity, a call to action to never judge a book by it’s cover.

Partly inspired by a true story between a human being and a spider in the car, ITSY is a story about a lonely and anxious woman who gets befriended by a spider who helps her to see herself and the world differently and ultimately to find a friend in a stranger, her next door neighbour, who she is initially suspicious of.
